2024 CSA Membership Agreement

This is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Membership agreement between Harmony Homestead LLC (dba Pennycress Studio) and yourself, (CSA member):

Terms

Our CSA Membership program is an opportunity for you to show your support for Pennycress Studio in exchange for a share of our season’s bounty. Our 2024 CSA season will feature the below bouquet options:

‘Late Spring Share’ CSA member(s) are entitled to one flower bouquet each week, 6 total bouquets, in exchange for a contribution of $180. This option has a TBD start date, likely early June, and runs for 6 consecutive weeks. Exact timing will be communicated to members once it is determined, based on flowers blooming in sufficient quantity to provide members with bouquets. Deliveries will take place each Tuesday at all locations.
‘Early Fall Share’ CSA member(s) are entitled to one flower bouquet each week, 4 total bouquets, in exchange for a contribution of $120. This option has a TBD start date, likely early-mid September, and runs for 4 consecutive weeks. Exact timing will be communicated to members once it is determined, based on flowers blooming in sufficient quantity to provide members with bouquets. Deliveries will take place each Tuesday at all locations.

Each 'Late Spring Share' and 'Early Fall Share' bouquet will be filled with our very best seasonally available blooms, but due to the natural variability of farming, no specific flowers, colors, or varieties can be guaranteed.

Keeping in Touch

CSA members will be automatically subscribed to our newsletter which is full of news and happenings from around the farm, tips for enjoying your blooms, as well as important updates for our members. We recommend staying subscribed throughout the season.
The best way to get in contact with us is via email at info@pennycressstudio.com. We will respond as soon as we are able.

Payment

Payment may be made by credit card through our website, or may submitted via Venmo @PennycressStudio or via check mailed to our farm – S2620A Sebion Lane, Viroqua WI 54665. CSA memberships must be paid in-full no later than April 21, 2024. Underfunded memberships may not be eligible to receive bouquets.

Refunds

A CSA membership is a season’s long commitment between our farm and our members, and we greatly appreciate your support. That said, we also understand circumstances may change. Members may request a refund of a membership share only until May 1. After May 1, our growing season starts in earnest and your investment is already hard at work helping to cultivate our beautiful cut flowers.

The “Fine Print”

Please keep in mind that bouquets are living, breathing entities, and your care of them is just as important as ours for maximizing their lifespan and your enjoyment. Information on caring for your blooms will be provided in our weekly newsletter.
Please also keep in mind that no blooms, or any other materials included in a bouquet, are intended for edible or topical use. Indeed, some blooms or material may be irritating, toxic, or poisonous if ingested by humans or other animals. Member(s) agree to hold Pennycress Studio free of any associated liability. If you have any questions or concerns about material(s) which may be included in a bouquet, please contact us immediately.

Lastly, our CSA program is truly a partnership, and we cannot wait to share our farm’s bounty with you! That said, farming involves risk, and pest, disease, weather, acts of God and/or other unforeseen circumstances may contribute to or detract from our farm’s overall production, including the availability of weekly shares. We are deeply committed to the success of our CSA program and ensuring our members have blooms all season long, but crop losses can occur and shares are not guaranteed every week. Pennycress Studio will communicate openly and honestly in the event a weekly share is unavailable.

Changes to our CSA program agreement will be communicated via our newsletter. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this agreement.
